Here are two things. These are two of the things that are for sale in The Compound Gallery Online Art Shoppe. These two things would look simply stupendous adorning the somewhat bare walls of your otherwise sumptuous and well-appointed sitting room. You should buy them and hang them there. Then you could host a lavish soirée for your many influential and amusing friends and admirers. Your guests would quaff fine wines and nibble upon exotic, artisanal canapés while they admire these things and compliment you on your impeccable taste in contemporary art and your remarkable ‘eye for a bargain’.

Just imagine that.

Things don’t get much better.

I have a bunch of artworks appearing in an exhibition at the Westergasfabriek Museum in Amsterdam called ‘A Perfect Day’. My fellow exhibitors are an illustrious bunch indeed, including artistic and cultural luminaries like Raymond PettibonChris Johanson,Dave EggersDavid ShrigleyRichard PrinceSimon EvansRoyal Art Lodge, Leonard Cohen and Rene Magritte (yes,THAT Rene Magritte).

The exhibition is described as ‘a collection of drawings with text, featuring observations, thoughts and ideas about life. Funny, clever, poetic, ironic and hilarious.’ The show is actually a continuation of a highly successful exhibition called ‘Lots of Things Like This‘ that took place in 2008 in New York and was curated by Dave Eggers, author, artist and founder of the awesome McSweeney’s Publishing Empire.

If you find yourself in Amsterdam It’ll be worth a look, here’s the details:
