Here’s a time-lapse teaser for a new project, currently underway at The Compound Gallery. All will be revealed soon.
Very chuffed to be featured in this ‘Artist Notebook’ collection, published by Monsa in Spain, and available for a mere €25,90 right here. It’s a beautifully produced hardback book, with lots of excellent contributors (aside from my own lavish 14 pages!). Well worth a look.
Fascinating Things
Top thing: actual x-ray of my right wrist. The one that I use to draw. This is by way of an explanation for the lack of recent posts.
Bottom thing: a new piece for Art In A Box. Created before the wrist incident, obviously.
Another thing: an interview I did with Papirmass magazine, in which the aforementioned broken wrist gets a shout out.
Here’s a new suite of motivational letterpress prints that revel in the delightful title “The Grim Specter of Death”. Eight individual prints in total, in an edition of four of each print. Available, individually and collectively, at The Compound Gallery in Oakland right now, and in the gallery’s online shop (if you’re buying more than one use the code DAVID3 when you checkout to get a discount).
And if you’re in the vicinity of Los Angeles there will also be a complete set up on the wall at The Dove Biscuit Gallery, in The Last Bookstore in Downtown LA, as part of a show bewilderingly entitled ‘Defeating the Mentality of Defeatism’. The LA show opens tomorrow (March 7th) 6 -10pm, live music and positive affirmations will be provided.
